Brazos River
Brazoria County Parks
Department opened "Brazos River County
Park" to the public on October 30, 1988
and ever since, the park has been quite
popular for many area residents.
It is located on C.R. 30, near Holiday
Lakes in Planter's Point Subdivision.
Entrance to the day-use park is free and
has much to offer. It features one
of the counties largest playgrounds with
hillside slides, large sand boxes, a tot
lot, colorful playground equipment,
playhouses, a 60 ft wide tire glider,
and an observation tower. The park
also has a 1/2 mile loop walking trail
of boardwalk and hard surface for
joggers or just to explore the woodlands
and river bank. So, bring your
family, fishing poles, an picnic lunch &
enjoy a relaxing day at the park along
the Brazos River bank. If cooking
outdoors is a favorite you may just want
to use one of over 50 individual picnic
tables & more than 25 barbeque grills
that are available throughout the park.
The park also has a large group pavilion
available for rental as well as 2
smaller pavilions in the playground area
perfect for birthday parties, a family
get together or just a day at the park.
This park is also the home of our ever
popular back to school festival "KIDSFEST"
which is on the first Saturday of
August. This event is free & is
intended for school children age 3-11
years to get excited and ready for the
upcoming school year. This day-use
park is open daily for all to enjoy.
So if you haven't been to your
