Hanson Riverside
Brazoria County Parks
Department opened "Hanson Riverside
County Park" to the public on June 18,
1988 and ever since, the park has been
quite popular for many area residents.
this is a beautifully wooded park on the
San Bernard River. It is located
just off of Hwy 35, 3 miles southwest of
West Columbia, the park gate is
open daily from 8 am until dark.
Entrance to the day-use park is free.
This park has many features to offer,
such as a large colorful playground
along with an observation tower to climb
and view the park with just a glance.
The park also has a mile of hard surface
hike & bike trail for all to enjoy and
explore the woodlands and river bank.
So, bring your family, fishing poles, a
picnic lunch & enjoy a relaxing day at
the park along the San Bernard River
bank. If cooking outdoors is a
favorite you may just want to use one of
many individual picnic tables & barbeque
grills that are available throughout the
park. The park also has a large
group pavilion available for rental
located on the same side as the
playground area perfect for birthday
parties, a family get together or just a
relaxing day at the park.
So if you haven't been to your
parks lately...come on by & see what
you've been missing!!
